Codification of the Laws of Ger Toshav.
The following is a codification of the mitzvot of the Torah that apply to the non-Jewish worshipers of Israel's G-d and member of the Israelite community. The New Testament refers to the Ger Toshav (the Resident Alien) as "God Fearers" and "members from among the nations who turned to God".
Act 15:19-21 TLV Therefore, I judge not to trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God— 20 but to write to them to abstain from the contamination of idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what is strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses from ancient generations has had in every city those who proclaim him, since he is read in all the synagogues every Shabbat.”
Sexual Immorality:- Mitzvot 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15.
Contaminations of idols: - Mitzvah 13, (if we interpret this to mean obtaining from Idolatry in the overall sense).
From things strangled and from blood: Mitzvot 5 and 6 (if we interpret “things strangled” as a separate commandment from “and form blood” then this could restrict the type of roadkill that can be eaten).
“Because Moses has them who preach him in every Synagogue every Sabbath day”
Here, Ya’akov HaTzaddiq expects the non-jewish followers of his brother Yeshua to be keeping the Sabbaths in at least some sense, even if it is in their activity of joining in the Synagogue worship service.
The high holy days are designated as Sabbaths either by the written Torah itself, or by Oral tradition (and attested to by the NT).
