Who we are
We are Torah observant Believers in Yeshua. That means, We believe that Yeshua is Mashiyach, and We Follow Torah.
Statements of Faith
A. The Holy Scriptures
I affirm that the Hebrew Scriptures are the verbally inspired word of God, and that it is the primary authority of faith and morals, I also affirm as authoritative the writings of the Apostles found in the NT and the writings of the Sages of Israel.
2 Tim 3:16, 1 Tim 3:15, 1 Peter 1:23 Ephesians 2:20, and Matthew 23:1-5;
B. God
I affirm That the only true God is He Who was revealed to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, by angelic visitation and vision, and to Moses at the flaming bush (unconsumed) and at Sinai, and Who manifested Himself in the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, as the supreme self-existent Deity, the ONE FATHER, dwelling in unapproachable light, yet everywhere present by His Spirit, which is a unity with His person in heaven. He hath, out of His own underived energy, created heaven and earth, and all that in them is.
Gen 1:1; John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Deuteronomy 6:4; Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 124:8; Jeremiah 10:12-13; Jeremiah 51:15; Acts 17:24; 1 Tim 1:17; Eph 4:6; 1 Timothy 6:15-16; and 1 Tim 2:5
C. Yeshua the Messiah
I affirm that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of the eternal God. I affirm that Yeshua came to preach the good news about the coming kingdom of God. I affirm that he was murdered by the hands of lawless men. I affirm that three days later God raised him from the dead to immortality, giving him the name above all names and giving him all authority in heaven and on earth. I affirm that that Yeshua is the one lord to all those who believe. I affirm that Yeshua is our one mediator between God and man, our advocate that intercedes on our behalf.
John 18:3 Acts 2:22-24; Luke 4:43; Acts 3:13-21; Acts 4:10-12; Acts 13:26-30; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 10:40; Acts 5:31; 1 Tim 2:5; Phil 2:6-12; Matt 28:18; 1 Cor 8:6; 1 John 2:1
D. The Holy Spirit
I affirm that the Holy Spirit is the means by which God convicts the world of sin, draws people to himself and to his Son, and brings about regeneration in the life of the believer. I affirm that He seals and indwells everyone who submits to the lordship of Yeshua. I also affirm the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, through which He infills and empowers believers, and that He distributes Spiritual gifts to all believers. The Holy Spirit is the personal presence and power of God extended to the believers through the risen Messiah.
John 6:44; 15:26; John 16:8; 1 Corinthians 12:3-13; 1 John 5:6; 2 Thess 2:13-14; Acts 1:8; Acts 5:32; Ephesians 1:13; Ephesians 4:30; Psalm 51:11; Psalm 139:7; Luke 1:35; and Ephesians 1:2-3
E. The State of Man
I affirm that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred death. All persons are born with a capacity to do both good and evil. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All who have sinned have become slaves to sin.
Genesis 1:26-27 & 3:1-6; Proverbs 10:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 2:23; Romans 5:12, 19 & 3:10-13, 23; 1 John 1:10; John 8:34
F. The Scope of Salvation
I affirm that God desires none should perish, but calls all men to repentance so that they may be regenerated and saved in the last day. I affirm that Yeshua’s death is a means of expiation for all men. The death of Yeshua effects atonement only to those who put their faith in God, call upon the lord Yeshua, and obey him.
Matt 18:14; Acts 17:30-31; Romans 5:18;
G. Regeneration
I affirm that all who, by faith, call on the lord Yeshua and submit to his lordship, are born again of the Holy Spirit through Baptism, and thereby become the children of God.
John 1:12-14; John 3:3-16; Acts 2:38; Titus 3:3-7; Romans 6:2-8; Col 2:9-13; Acts 22:14-16; 1 Peter 3:21; Ephesians 4:5; Acts 22:16; 1 Corinth 12:13; Gal 3: 26-29
H. Eternal Security of the Believer
I affirm that all those who continue in the faith and persevere to the end are guaranteed to be saved.
Matthew 24:13; John 10:27-29; Romans 5:9-10; Col 1:20-23 1 Peter 1:3-5
I. Eschatology
I affirm that at the end of the ages, Yeshua will return to judge the living and the dead, he will raise the righteous to eternal life and the wicked to eternal death. Yeshua will abolish all human rule and establish the Kingdom of God on earth and restore the whole house of Israel and bring about the complete fulfillment of the New Covenant between the reunited House of Israel.
John 6; Acts 17; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thess 5, 2 Thess 2; Isaiah 60; Matthew 24
J. Covenantalism
I affirm that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divinely determined covenants, which define man's responsibilities throughout the ages to God and God’s promises to man. These Covenants were established with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Levi, Pinchas, and David. Scriptures reveal that God has determined to make a new covenant with Israel.
Genesis 9:8-17; Genesis 12-17; Genesis 26; Exodus 19-24, Numbers 25:12; 2 Samuel 7; Jeremiah 31:30-33
K. Sacraments/Ordinances
I affirm that the believer ought to keep all the Commandments of Yehovah that apply to him or her, and that the body as a whole is commanded to observe the appointed times of Yehovah found in Leviticus 23, with the Sabbath being a weekly appointment. I affirm the assembly is also obligated to make disciples by baptism and teaching them all that Yeshua taught us to obey (Matthew 28:19-20). I also affirm that we should partake of the last supper in remembrance of the suffering of our lord as often as possible (Luke 22:17-19).
